Christ is Risen!

Jesus is risen, he rose for you and me!

The meaning of Easter is not in the colored eggs or candy, it is the celebration of Jesus’ victory over death and the fulfillment of His love and promise.

Without a doubt one of the most important celebrations in the Christian calendar, Easter is the holiday that celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. After his crucifixion, death, and burial, three days later, He rose from the grave. By this, He conquered death and redeemed us from sin.

We can read the account of God's love and perfect promise in the book of John chapter 20 and also another account in Luke chapter 24.

And what does His resurrection mean?

It means 3 things:

(1) Jesus is who he claimed to be;

(2) Jesus has the power he claimed to have; and

(3) Jesus did what he promised to do.

We celebrate Easter even when life is tough or when things going on in the world don't make sense, because Jesus gives us peace, hope for the future and life-transforming joy through His fulfilled promise. He's in control at all times.
